The Milford Mattress is designed with a 30cm, 5-zoned pocket spring system. A pocket spring system is created coil systems that are individually wrapped and sewn into the mattress below a comfort layer. It is uniquely designed, allowing for weight distribution variances throughout the mattress on areas that need greater (think head and hips) or less (think feet) support.
The Milford Mattress is finished with synthetic latex foam for ultimate comfort, light feeling bounce and airflow. This creates ultimate comfort with a lesser level of ‘hug’ than memory foam.
Designed seamlessly with air pockets integrated into layers of the foam, ensuring ultimate airflow throughout the top layer.

Our Milford Mattress is 30cm in height and is designed to fit all standard NZ bed frame/base sizes (including our range!)

Purchased the Milford Mattress. Very nice and presentable mattress. Beautifully made. Unfortunately it became clear pretty soon it would not work as hoped in our particular case, so had to reluctantly invoke the 100 nights free trial clause and return the mattress.
The Flatpack people have handled the whole process of return and refund very professionally and with a very fast turn around and have donated the brand new mattress to a local charity that I picked!
I have had an excellent overall experience of dealing with the Flatpack Co from purchasing, to delivery and eventually going through the return and refund process. Keep the good work!

I'm nearly 81 and managed to put the base together successfully. I then watched the miraculous expansion of my mattress and, after 48 hours (as recommended), I've been sleeping well on a very comfy mattress.

Our Milford Mattress is considered ‘Medium-Firm Firmness’. If you don’t like the feeling of sinking into bed, then this mattress will be perfect for you.
P.S. The Cook is medium firmness, the Tasman is medium firmness.
Yes, all of our mattresses are vacuum pressed, rolled and delivered to your door in a box.
Yes you can. The foam will take a few hours to completely expand but your mattress can be slept on straight away.
Once the mattress is taken out of the box and opened, it will no longer fit back into the box.
A mattress topper or protector is not necessary but will help extend the life of the mattress.
Yes this mattress along with all of our products comes with a 5 year warranty.
