This 3rd party proof ensures our pieces are consciously created with sustainable materials and are free from heavy metals and ozone depleters.
It’s a Flatpack Co. non-negotiable that our manufacturers stay clear from harmful chemicals, so you can relax, knowing you’re living easy.
Forest management and protecting wildlife are key concerns for The Flatpack Co. We primarily deal with wooden materials and strive to have all of our wood and card FSC certified.
This means the wood or card in our products has gone through the most rigorous testing for responsible forestry.
FSC certification allows us to offer forest and wildlife protection that requires consultation with local Indigenous Peoples. Having open conversations and working with local customs to ensure sustainable sourcing of wood and card is a value we will never compromise on.
We believe quality is only important if matched with ethical and sustainable practices. That’s why we have taken steps to ensure our fabrics follow the most stringent and reliable testing system in the world, OEKO-TEX®.
OEKO-TEX® works to reduce the negative impacts of the textiles industry on our environment.
Our fabric dyeing practices are energy efficient and don’t include harmful chemicals, heavy metals, formaldehyde or nasty surfactants. Not only can youre steering clear from harsh chemicals, but you also know your purchasing power has been used for good.

Each year it is estimated that over 20 million mattresses end up in landfills, and a mattress is just one small component of a beautiful living space. The fast furniture industry has over 12million tonnes of furniture end up in the landfill in the US alone and in the UK thats over 50% of reusable furniture.
High-quality materials and timeless designs are our passion and we believe the most important factors to begin to reduce unnecessary landfill waste.
100% recyclable packaging by 2025
Packaging is used in every single one of our products. That is why we have set ourselves the goal of only using 100% recyclable packaging by the end of 2025. This includes replacing any polyster with honey comb packaging, removing plastic bags for things like screws and using reinforced recycled cardboard.
Carbon neutral by 2025
We have set ourselves the exciting goal to become carbon neutral by the end of 2025. To achieve this we must understand the carbon footprint associated with manufacturing our products. Once this is understood we can work with a carbon credit partner to achieve net zero by the end of 2025. We are very excited to align The Flatpack Co. towards a more sustainable and carbon neutral future.
